Background
British Gas were a state-owned company supplying all of the domestic gas to Britain. They also serviced boilers and so had an interest in reducing the problem of scaling in domestic heat exchangers.
Results
- The Hydropath units were found to significantly outperform all the other water conditioners tested, and extend the time taken for a heater to get clogged by over six times.
- British Gas also calculated their savings to be significant.
